Muttart Conservatory needed renovations to respond to increased visitor traffic. Kawneer was part of the project that delivered a new main entrance, gift shop, café, outdoor spaces and improvements to existing spaces to provide new classrooms, administration and staff areas. Our 2000 Skylight created a sloped canopy for the entrance, delivering a flush grid appearance. Featuring an insulating thermal break at the exterior of the plane of glass, the skylight minimizes heat loss and condensation. The new entrance welcomes visitors to the facility, establishes axial circulation throughout the building and addresses the lack of visibility and sense of arrival at the Muttart.
