William Austen Marine Education and Seamanship Center, Maritime College

The William Austen Marine Education and Seamanship Center at SUNY Maritime College is a 2 1/2-story academic building located in the Bronx, New York. Designed with sustainability in mind, this all-electric building features a state-of-the-art wet science laboratory on the first floor. The second floor includes a classroom for the College’s Marine Transportation department. The design process focused on integrating advanced environmental technologies and maximizing the building’s unique waterfront location to enhance educational opportunities. 

The William Austen Marine Education and Seamanship Center at SUNY Maritime College features a variety of Kawneer’s architectural aluminum systems, including our 1620UT Curtain Wall System, Trifab® VersaGlaze® 451T Framing System, AA®250 Thermal Entrances and 250T Insulpour® Thermal Entrances.
