Salem Hospital: Patient Care Tower

Salem, Oregon, USA

Salem Hospital’s 150-bed patient care tower was built to meet the demands of a growing community, including an aging population. To meet the community’s needs, the hospital expansion included a seven-story tower with five patient floors along with larger rooms equipped to serve ICU patients. The building surpasses seismic requirements, meaning it can offer patient care after a large-scale earthquake.

The healthcare facility provides the most up-to-date features in healthcare design, including an emergency room, an imaging department, operating rooms, intensive care units, a rapid response lab, a chapel and conference facilities. The technologically advanced patient care tower features Kawneer’s 1600UT System™1 Curtain Wall and 190/350/500 Standard Entrances.
